Aqua Pool & Spa Pros offers inground and above ground pool opening services to ensure your pool is ready to swim in spring and all summer long. Our competitively-priced swimming pool opening services include the following:

  • Inspect pool cover for damage
  • Remove, fold and stow winter cover
  • Screw down deck grommets
  • Installation of deck equipment (ladders, handrails,etc…)
  • Removal of winter plugs
  • Reassemble pool filter
  • Start pumps and pool heater
  • Blow out/prime plumbing
  • Install return fittings and skimmer baskets
  • Add shock to pool
  • Brush entire pool surface and vacuum
  • Water chemistry testing

There is a $100 deposit that must be submitted to schedule and hold your opening date.

We will drain and clean the pool cover, vacuum the bottom and brush the walls of the pool as best as possible, install the ladder or steps, pool fittings, and hoses. We will test the filter system and heater and leave it ready for you to start up once you fill the pool. Cloudy or algae-filled pools may need more than one cleaning which is not included.

Because of the numerous sizes and conditions of above ground pools, you will be charged on a time and material basis. There is a $395.00 minimum charge to open any above ground pool. The average above ground pool opening price is $395-$475.

  • You can save time on the job and money by draining water off your pool cover prior to our arrival.
  • Note: Any pool that is partially in ground with a deck around it is usually considered an in-ground pool.
  • Save 10% on the pool opening labor if you open by April 19th.

Inground Pool Openings

  • Draining and cleaning of solid covers and water tubes: $150.00
  • Pools with attached spas add: $265.00
  • Pool equipment startup only. Cover must be removed: $265.00
  • Spa openings and pool repairs during the pool opening are charged on a time and material basis.
  • Larger pools and custom pools with water features have additional charges.

We will drain and clean the pool cover, vacuum the bottom and brush the walls of the pool as best as possible. Clean the skimmers, equipment and deck area. Lubricate and lower any deck anchors. Set up and clean all pool deck equipment, test and install any underwater lights. Set up and test the pump, filter and heater, and start the pool filling. Cloudy or algae filled pools may need more than one cleaning which is not included.

  • There is a $100 deposit required to schedule an opening date on a first come first-served basis.
  • You may deduct $200.00 if you do not want us to vacuum the pool and clean the deck.
  • Save 10% on the pool opening labor price if you open by April 19th.
