May – Tips of the Month!
News, Tip of the Month
Finally some decent weather!!! After opening your pool, allow the water to filter for 24+ hours, then come in & have your water tested to be in good standing when you decide to use your pool! Start off your filter cycles at 12 hours a day, increase filtration time for hot spikes. “Streams are clear & pond are green”, the more the water is moving the cleaner it will be. Time clocks can help greatly with this issue, as you can schedule when the pump turns on & off. After the pool has been up and running for 24 hours, bring us a water sample and we will give recommendations based on your results. After adjusting the chemistry, in order to prevent algae, the following morning add 8oz of Algae Bomb 60. The best algaecide we carry! Add 4oz weekly as a maintenance dose! Per 10,000 gallons!
Spa filter cycles help prevent build up and chemical imbalances, this setting is easily changed in your control panels settings.. Now is also a great time to drain your spa water and replenish with fresh water to keep your CYA / stabilizer low! Bring us a water sample if you are wondering where your spa chemistry is at!
