June – Tips of the Month!
Tip of the Month
During these next few months the weather, but more or so the temperature will be unpredictable. To keep pools safe, keep at least 4ppm of chlorine in the pool at all times, and run the pump 24/7. This will help prevent any cloudiness or algae outbreaks. What else can help prevent would be dosing the pool in the morning, with Algaeban II. When dosing the pool with an algaecide be sure to do it first thing in the morning. This is when algae is most active & ready to feed. When the pool is low on chlorine, add granular at night, at least 8-12 hours after adding the algaecide. If you add them too close together, the shock will eat the algaecide. Remember to have your pump running at least 12 hours during the day, if possible 24 hours is the best.
Going out of town? In order to conserve energy, be sure to put the spa into economy mode. This is easily found in your spas manual. This will reduce the energy used by the spa, but maintaining a safe temperature whilst on vacation. Remember to put spa back into standard mode after returning & to bring us a sample!
