December – Tip of the Month!
Tip of the Month
Now would be a great time to drain your spa & replace with new water! Why do we recommend this? Keep reading….!
When using chlorine/bromine in spas, there is almost like a conditioner in the chemicals, which is called cyanuric acid or stabilizer. Now what stabilizer does is it keeps the sanitizer in the spa and not allowing it to burn or gas off.
After adding sanitizers to the spa, the cyanuric acid level will build up over time and as this level builds it will essentially make chlorine ineffective. Needing to add double or triple your usual amount in order to keep your normal 2-4ppm of sanitizer in your spa. This is why we suggest draining your spa every 3-4 months, in order to keep your levels in working order!
